I'm really starting to get the sense that the plan is to hide the deficiencies in the secondary through sheer pressure. What with Beason saying they are going to be blitzing twice as much as they did last year and the apparent lack of concern over the CB hole what other explanation can there be?

As far as corners are concerned, the DBs in mcdermott's defense play zone against the pass, so it's not as urgent as it seems to find a corner you can put on an island against a 6'4" receiver. Guys like nnamdi are rare talents in an age where breathing on a wr gets you a pass interference call. For most of these corners, it's much easier to cover a zone assignment than a player assignment, but in order to stop the qb from finding holes you need to be aggressive and pursue the ball. We could very possibly only need to train one of our younger corners to be able to do just that and get by this year.
