im fine with the johnson overspending....not with the Deangelo williams. I love him, have his jersey but thought we should have either parted ways with him or signed him for less so we could have used some of that money on other talent.

We did overpay them....that is pretty much fact.

That doesn't mean we didn't need to overpay Johnson.

Williams was overpaid and that money could of been used on a different position of signifcantly greater need.....and the impact could have improved Carolian to a greater degree than signing Williams. We absolutely did not have to overpay him. He cost us a chance to improve our team in a weak area that would be make the overall team most likely better.

That is just cold hard reality.......the fact Williams is really good and super cool doesn't change anything. Having the greatest backfield in a passing league also isn't as great as some suggest. Talent to stop the pass would have been better.
