Cowherd's Predictions

Mother Grabber

MAV... this coaching staff will have our boys ready on week 1... They will be able to execute on weeks one.

Now whether or not the players can seize the moment is another thing. If Cam throws 4 picks, no we are not gonna win sh!t...

All temas have the same amount of time to get ready... yes we're new, and yes there's new schemes and playbooks to be implemented... but I believe that's what will make this year even more special. If we can stay relatively healthy *watch out*

He had us at 5-11, but called us a much improved team and a tough out. Probably as unbiased a view as you can get.

A little later in the broadcast he mentioned that he wouldn't be surprised if we won 7 games this year. Overall I thought he had a pretty realistic prediction of the league.

New head coach and rookie starting QB. We will be lucky to break .500. We might start out with a bang but once teams get game film on us will be the big test.

You are the first person to explain their logic here... and you actually make sense. I agree with your post. We will have to be lucky to break .500... but I believe that we have the talent to do it.

In recent history.....rookie coaches and rookie QBs have done very well.

I think we finish with a bang after a slow start. The real offense will take awhile to get going

see post #117... on page 12 or 13.... It's not a great read and I shouldn't have even done that this early in camp at all...

Okay I guess I'll quote and reply that too. :\

As requested... my very basic explanation of how 7-10 wins is realistic

1 Sep 11 CAR @ ARI W--- I think that Our offense has too much for their D without DRC... Their offense will be potent as well, but I think our D gets it done

2 Sep 18 GB @ CAR L--- GB just too much for us this early in the year

3 Sep 25 JAC @ CAR W--- We pretty much own Jacksonville

4 Oct 02 CAR @ CHI W--- Jay Cutler... that is all....

5 Oct 09 NO @ CAR L---- honestly I think it's a toss up, but I say NO pulls it out

6 Oct 16 CAR @ ATL L---- We may get smacked

7 Oct 23 WAS @ CAR W--- Washington has no idea what the fug is going on right now

8 Oct 30 MIN @ CAR W--- another toss up.... this could go either way on paper

9 Bye--- thankfully a week to get healthy

10 Nov 13 TEN @ CAR W---- Matt will have back spasms... the rookie will be in... no threats at WR for our corners to worry about

11 Nov 20 CAR @ DET L---- Detroit is no joke anymore

12 Nov 27 CAR @ IND L--- if Peyton is healthy we lose...if he's out we win esily

13 Dec 04 CAR @ TB W----I think we just have too much for them on both sides of the ball

14 Dec 11 ATL @ CAR W--- we win at home we have gelled and are mad that they hurt our feelings

15 Dec 18 CAR @ HOU L---- I think Houston makes playoffs this year... we lose

16 Dec 24 TB @ CAR W---- again too much for them

17 Jan 01 CAR @ NO W---- we pretty much always beat them the last game of the season. plus we'll be fighting to get in

W1 - I agree, we probably get the win over the Cardinals.

W2 - Yep, loss here.

W3 - Um what? No, we do not win against the Jags, if we do it is close. They have an experienced QB, that has similar play to Cam, and even if they lose him they have Gabbert whom I had over Cam in the draft anyways. They have other threats on their team, they could beat us.

W4 - Mhm, it is Culter. And the rest of the Bears, although they may not be better then us by an extreme amount I am saying they win.

W5 - Saints and Pathers have a close game, Saints win though.

W6 - Falcons win.

W7 - Yes, I'd say we win over the Redskins. I believe the QB position determines this alone.

W8 - Eh, win or a loss. Matters how McNabb is doing this year.

W10 - We lose here, even if Matt has back spasms (doubt it) Jake Lockner will come out and do good. And yes, the Titens have a few decent WR's, and one really good one.

W11 - Lions win, or lose. Probably a close game, comes down to how our O-line is looking at that point (injures etc).

W12 - Lose, lose, lose. Even is Manning is out (he won't be), Indi still has WR's to throw it to (lots, actually) and our CB's won't stack up against them properly. They also have a running game.

W13 - We lose aganinst TB, mostly because they are at home. I'd say the Bucs and the Panthers are pretty similiar teams.

W14 - Another loss going against the Falcons, their team is just to damn good!

W15 - I dunno, Houston hasn't been the best team around, and I haven't really looked at their lineup this year. A close one for sure.

W16 - We win against the Bucs, because we're at home.

W17 - Bress will be sitting on the bench for this game resting for the playoffs most likely. A win I think.

Anywhere between 4-12 to 7-9 in my book. A lot of the games will be close, not blow outs such as last year.

Being right...when everybody on here doubts this team... There is really no excuse for it. I get that its fun to ride somebody when they are upset and I obviously was, but its another thing to really believe that we're gonna be that pooty!

I also understand the cautious optimism and it is warranted, but to be that cautious... is just ridiculous.

I hope that even one of the players was on here reading this crap today. Only ONE person that has been in this thread agrees that we have the POTENTIAL and SKILL to win at least 10 games... I have been very clear in the fact that we can realistically win 10 games with our roster as is with no major injuries to a star.

Only ONE damn person thinks that's true?

How the hell are you gonna sit there and be a fan of this team and really believe that we're going to win 5 games... or even say that 7 games would be ok...

Even when you compare it to last year, yes it's more wins... yes it's progress... BUT it would be a disappointment to every player on that roster and every coach as well. <------Nobody has addressed that I've said that several times either.

No instead... let's just tell this TCF guy "that he's batpoo crazy for thinking that a team with this much talent is capable of winning 10 games this year... Just for fun....only we all really believe that we'll win maybe 7 games."

C'mon really? Being an optimist and seeing the REAL talent that we have here and seeing how well and blown away our own coaches are... and hearing every player's interview about how they re-signed to prove a point and they believe they can win, and how Rivera said even our fans will be Surprised this year...

That's no reason to be be optimistic and think that with a new system and new staff that was desperately needed (see DeAngelo's Interview) that we could win 10 games...

Everybody is entitled to their own opinions here, i get that...but I was blasted for being optimistic about our damn team as I should be. I cant remember the last time I was this excited in training camp!

So you're damn right... When and if we win 10 games or more I will be responding to each and every one of you to remind you how "miss informed" you were. I'd call it how it is, but I'd get infracted. and if we win 5 games we'll all be miserable and you will all be right...

For now you can just keep running in the same circles chasing after pi and swag from your buddies while bashing the people that are trying to get this fan base back on track!

I have no time for Fake people, or fairweather fans... If u think we'll only win 5 games.... Save us all the time of reading your CRAP and go jump on the Eagles' bandwagon and boards!

1. You come here and blast people who disagree with you about how many games we win, that's why you got blasted.

2. NOBODY is disagreeing with you about TALENT. Yes we have the talent to win ten games. TALENT alone doesn't win games. People saying 5 wins is realistic are looking at more than just talent

lol people act like if analysts aren't falling over themselves to proclaim us super bowl champs for the next 10 years it's some great disrespect to them personally

There is some truth to this.

But there is also some truth to the fact that 75% of these "analysts" haven't watched a Panthers game in 3 years.
