Yeah, you're right, if you read the story the couple describing their adventure began with "WE'RE LESBIANS JUST SO YOU KNOW. We were having dinner, AS LESBIANS, pushed our boat in the water, AS LESBIANS"... Maybe you should take issue with the US reporter that pushed this story, not with "everyone" who wants equal rights.

who cares. there are stories all the time where the headline is (Some Minority) Does Something Great. Why get all angry about it?

btw, the original story from overseas says "the couple" and "her partner", and though google translate could be wrong, it never appears to use the word lesbian, which you seem to have some major issue with. So perhaps instead of getting angry at the people you think want the world to know they are different, perhaps you should get angry at gawker.com and all the other news agencies reporting it as a lesbian couple.
