Practice 8/2

I wish I had video of Smitty making #35 or #36 look like a Pop Warner kid. I mean the moves were straight out of a Brazilian soccer match. Smitty caught the ball on the left hash and the DB squared him up at which point Smitty stopped on a dime, faked left then ran right. The guy took a good angle to cut #89 from bee-lining to the endzone and forced Smitty to make another move. The guy fell for the same juke left run right move, but recoved once again. This time the DB was just going to run him out of bounds on the RIGHT hand side of the field by now at which point Smitty cuts across the guys face and dove into the endzone.

Smitty done ole boy seriously wrong. The crowd gave Smitty a nice applause. Show off! :D

Im really pushing for Jimmy to do better by the sound of the practice it looks as he is starting to look better and im sure thats for the good. But what really is going to tell the story is pre season games. Then you get to see is Jimmy or Cam making the right reads are the looking for the free Blitz and most of all can they make enough plays for us to win the game. Jimmy is more crucial to this team then people think because I want him to give Cam competition if Jimmy is learning then Cam is learning.

Something I just noticed by looking at the roster which can be picked up at practice is that 44guys on the current roster are our draft picks. I think this is fairly substantial. Grated not all of these guys are top tier guys, but it shows the commitment to build through the draft and keep them in house beyond their first contract.

Hey squirrell...fyi. a man drove a man made us late bc he didn't know which field. I wanted to get there At least 20 mins early. we had to walk around. We were there before it started though. Sorry updating you on twitter wasn't first on the agenda ...a little overwhelming after months of no football. But next Wednesday Salty and I will make sure you personally are first to be.notified. ;)
