I saw Charlotte twice, once on a murder show a real life investigation with a shootout, the show is called 48 hours. The investigator on the show is also one I have spoken with recently, Mr. McFadden. Also I saw it was either world's dumbest or worlds wildest chases some other reality show I saw a police chase straight up 51 into William R Davie Park, the sign was easy to recognize (other than saying it), its right around where I live, it was pretty weird.

I still chuckle sometimes when I'm walking around the stadium on gameday and see those random few that have decided to wear their Rae Carruth jersey's to the game.

You were right though, he was recently released if I'm not mistaken. There was a 30 for 30 ESPN segment on him and the case. They mentioned that he was due to be released in six months or something close to that, and that segment aired close to anywhere from eight to ten months ago, if I'm not mistaken.
