I understand the concern with CB's but how good will the pass rush be?

Of course, I know. But as of now, our secondary is lacking, I was making the point of that and saying that it is silly-willy to rely on the D-line using the Lions as an example. Getting a decent CB to play opposite of Gamble will be achieved, most likely, even if it isn't a CB up to par with Gamble if he can hold his own I'm happy.

First of all, most of the corners getting the big bucks are man cover corners who could largely be wasted in our system. We will run a zone cover 65% of the time at least. Why 65%? Because Beason said we would blitz 65% of the time and McDermott uses a fire zone blitz which means zone coverage.

Secondly Marshall played pretty poor last year in pass coverage so honestly we aren't missing much anyway. He also played a lot of nickel meaning Captain played quite a bit of corner. Plus with Gamble out other guys played quite a bit.

I think you can get by with decent corners if your safety play is good and frankly safeties and corners are somewhat ubiquitous in our cover scheme. So for me the corner issue, while I would like it to be resolved, is not a burning issue IMHO.
