Video From Todays Practice (8/1)

I was there. Anybody else that went think that Cam just looked head and shoulders better than Jimmy? I mean, it may just be wishful, biased thinking, but Cam seemed to have a better grasp on things. Doesn't hurt that he can actually see over the line, though. That Cam scramble up the middle for what would have been 6 was awesome to see. He can absolutely outrun guys at this level, something a lot of people questioned. Looked comfortable in the pocket. Couple iffy throws, but overall, a good day for him. Never would have been sacked at any point. Jimmy would have had at least 2 sack-fumbles. Good day of practice.

cam definitely looks a little antsy in the pocket.

Hardly. I thought he looked good today. Very relaxed and composed. There were 2 times he looked antsy though. The pick he threw (he looked hurried and uncomfortable. Might have been a new play that he had not ran up until then) and another time where he thought the whistle would blow for a sack, but he side stepped it, the coach saw that, didn't blow it, so he checked it down to Stewart for what would have been a first down, if not more. The rest of the time, he looked VERY comfortable in the pocket. Kept his feet moving the whole time and read the defense quickly, as the pocket collapses against NFL-caliber defenses faster than they did in college. He just needs to get acclimated a little more with it.

Maybe it was just his footwork then. He didn't step into all his throws, which makes it looks like he's being antsy.
