South Carolina should change its name.

Probably because you can't read name of, or even sound out the name a single college in SC. Much less be cognizant of which institutions exist in SC.

rofl @ throwing a barely used word there to pretend you're intelligent. How pathetic.

Im sure you'll come here and try to spin this so no, no one in the last 10 years has used the word cognizant when they could just say aware. :cam:

There's a few times in the last few months its been used. Just a cursory search of the huddle shows how barely its used.

Maybe you should constructively contribute to a discussion instead of trying to get attention with posts meant to provoke people.

SC, lower taxes, better price on food, gas, cigarettes, rent, Knights baseball, great beaches.

NC, Higher taxes, higher price on food, gas, rent, panthers, awesome mountains.

They both however have some of the best looking women I've ever seen.

They are the ying and yang of states. The Dakotas blow chunks and the virginias are gay.

Seceding is not starting a war. Seceding is running away from home.

If memory serves, the guy that fired the first shot at Sumter was from SC. And Governor Pickens sanctioned firing on both the relief vessel that tried to bring in supplies, and on fort Sumter itself. Given the strong states rights sentiments at the time, he had a primary role in deciding whether or not to attack both. And the troops around Sumter were South Carolina Militia.

General Sherman certainly thought SC started the war and acted accordingly when he marched through South Carolina.

A sovereign state would certainly have the right to keep its ports free of foreign intervention, right?

IMO it all comes down to the cities.

Wilmington and Charleston are neck and neck.

However after that, SC doesn't hold a candle to the rest of the cities in NC.

And let's be honest, I would be ashamed to have Myrtle Beach as part of my state.
