I like his versatility, but with that comes some liability in run defense if we ever switch to a 4-3 defense. I don't think he can be a full-time 4-3 EDGE; we'd likely have to use him as a rush OLB like Khalil Mack early in his career with the Raiders. Which can work; Carter can play off-ball linebacker at a high level as well and offers versatility, but that still would leave us with a hole at DE.
