All I'm saying is I was promised a better passer, pure passer, than anyone who has come out recently. Coupled with all the work he's done with Weinke and Dorsey, I didn't expect Clausen level of play. He knows 90% of the playbook so I expect him to know where his receivers are and what his progressions should be.

I feel cheated and lied to.

Unless of course everyone blew up every report about him this offseason just so they could try and defend the pick and make it seem like he wasn't a project.

I mean considering jimmy clausen has a year of experience under his belt and cam is on his level as a passer, I'm not too upset about that. it's the very beginning of TC, they are all still getting use to the plays, they are all learning because it's a new play book, but the fact that he is holding his own already is a good sign to me. he might even get better as practices go on.

Once the O-Line gets accustomed to being back together again I think all the quarterbacks will start performing better because they will have more time to throw.

cam seems to be running a lot. that's all fine and dandy, but I want to hear about him scrambling and hitting a receiver down teh field. the kid has fantastic pocket awareness, he just needs to translate that into looking downfield for the open receiver instead of taking off and running when pressured.

He just broke off a 55 yard TD run. Apparently he is more mobile than you promised me.

The biggest knocks on Cam coming out were about his abilities as a passer. You may have forgotten that because of all of the nuthugging that has gone on around here.

Cam has accuracy issues and velocity issues. However his natural talents make it likely that he can be "taught up".

Best physical talent in 5 years, maybe. Best passer, no.
