The Next Corner on our Short List: Dimitri Patterson

What do you guys think about him. This is a fairly young corner who had a decent year last year. He played with McDermott last year as well, so he knows the system that will be in place. After Rodgers and perhaps Hayden, this guy looks like to be the last significant corner out there for us.

As far as I know, he is as free as an eagle.

He plays on the right side of the field to. I say let's bring him in.

if they can get him, sure, he wouldnt be a bad signing, though he's not great.

I'm kind of wondering why McDermott hadn't suggested bringing him in from the start, or maybe he did? If he didn't, maybe there's a red flag on Patterson. Yet, I haven't heard any negative reports concerning him.

Based on Patterson's stats, he is just as good as Rogers and Hayden (the other two options).

I wouldn't say that...based from his stats it looks like he's only started one year.

The Eagles gave up 33 passing TDs last year - I don't know how much of that he was responsible for, but I bet it's a big part of why he's no longer in PHI.

I can't imagine them not bringing in another corner...it's an obvious hole on the defense and imagine if gambe goes down...that would be a disaster. But even if they do sign someone ge can't practice until thrusday anyway. I could see hurney doing a last minute deal ala Louis Leonard or Tank Tyler...give up a 5th rounder for a young guy who doesn't fit with his team.
