From the Rocky Mount Telegram: “If Peppers wants to leave, let him.”

Wilson makes Rocky Mount look like the big city. They have a Krispy Kreme and everything.

I have partied in Wilson. That town has it's share of old money, spoiled rotten kids, alcohol tolerance, and people who just don't give a f--k. The old money being the root of all other evil there.

I had a blast.

Probably true. I grew up in New Bern and it partly fits there. I think stats show..or did on the mid 90's when I went there during college that the millionaires per square mile in Wilson NC rivaled almost any city on the East Coast.

Tobacco

There was a kid from there that was a friend at school and a group of us went home with him for a couple visits. Ridiculous time we had.

Crazy town and these kids (at least the ones I met) were country as hell with money to burn...weird combo.. Money and manners. Go figure.

I used to live in Lake View, SC. I had a friend there, gorgeous girl by the way, who made her first million at 16. The family business were pin ball machines...

You must have partied at someone's house, cause there isn't poo to do here.

Wilson is in a class of it's own, and not in a good way. Panthro wants to call a town backwards? Come to Wilson. Instead of growing, it's dying.

All anyone does here is eat. Retail can't survive, but open up a Cook Out and people flock to it in droves.

Panthro wants to call every town south of upstate New York backwards, it's what he does, it's his schtick...

Considering all the places I've traveled I think I have a pretty good barometer on what is a "backwards" town.

LOL @ upstate NY being exempt from being ass backwards.

I'm sure you're correct on both counts, just playing around...

correct

private house party and hunting lodge..two trips

we never went into an establishment other than one that sold alcohol to go either time.

That was in the 90's. I hear it's much worse now.

Upstate NY is just a neck as Columbia SC, maybe worse.

I have traveled a great deal in my life as well and have no problem with the North. As long as I can leave there.

One day Panthro will get up in years and become a 'half-back' like any other Yankee that can rub two nickles together and get out of town.

Some people get embarrassed that joisey boys, massholes, and new yoikers make fun of their home state of North Carolina. I am thankful for it. It keeps them out. We only have to deal with them after they relocate to FL and decide they can't stand the heat and the cubans and then move back, but only go halfway back.

By then they are still annoying to a degree but outnumbered enough to eventually soften.

I know plenty of native new yorkers who praise the day they left.
