Brandon Hogan's season might be done

Any ACL reconstruction takes 6 months to heal and rehab plus a couple of months to get to playing condition. Hurney knew it would be a lond shot for him to be ready to play this year which is why he fell to the fourth in the first place. If he were totally healthy he would have gone alot higher. I think Hurney hoped Hogan could play sometime this year and he might still be able to do so. He will likely go on PUP and then on IR if he can't practice. But this is not a big suprise or unexpected.

Yeah I thought this was known during the draft process.

Its still sucks because even if he recovers well and is a stud..its a 4 th rd pick thats not contributing this season.

At least with Stewart our own team doctors said his foot injuries are not chronic..and he was able to contribute from the get go.

Constidine and Payne COULD be factors.

Unknown at this point tho.

all i have heard about constidine is that he is consistently horrible and will make you embed your remote control in the wall on every down.

payne i know nothing about.

regardless, unless these guys absolutely blow it up during TC and in the preseason it would be the height of hubris not to go make a trade for someone of value.

I'm kind of concerned at this point. McDermott was fired for allowing too many passing TDs (31) last year. I think it had more to do with how complex his red zone defense was than anything, because he was not short at talent in the CB department. I wouldn't say this year's secondary is better than the Eagles' secondary last year, though. Not at all.

The difference there will be that he has Rivera over him, not Reid. This will still be very much Riveras defense and we are lucky to have a guy who learned a Jim Johnson attacking defense to have a say to. So hopefully we will have a pretty dominate defensive gameplan with those two working together.

But with that being said, yeah, our CB depth is very questionable right now with Gamble the only definite starter and Captain a better slot guy.
