Anyone see Steve Reed's article about TC?

i guess we will see how this effects the quality of play around the league..though i suspect those little injuries that players don't tell you about will be less of an issue..J-Stew didn't go through training camp for years and he still put up some numbers.

this is all probably an effort to get players to go for 18 games in the future, however.

NFL Players = spoiled and soft little bitches

Here is why i completely disagree with this:

1. These guys are pros.. they don't need to learn how to hit. If they do, they won't last long. Sure they get better at the pro game but they aren't learning how to form tackle at the pro level.

2. The pro game has never been more violent, so why do they need to put their bodies through rigerous camp workouts? Again, if the end product were suffering that would be one thing, but last year there seemed like there were more collisions and concussions than ever before. It certainly seems like these guys know what they are doing...

they thought about replacing the hall of fame game with a game of flag football, but because of Smith's injury last year, the league shied away from the idea entirely.

They weren't allowed to wear pads plain and simple. If it wasnt for the lockout im pretty sure they would be out going blow for blow like normal. stupid article

no, many of these changes are in the CBA... players wanted training camp to be less... rigorous.

Yea, its all well and dandy, until preseason game number 1 when they finally get to go full speed, and there are 20 injured players because they aren't used to it. Hopefully I'm wrong.

i think players get injured more from crazy training camp drills then they do from a quarter of preseason play...
