That was one of the worst stoppages I've ever seen. I had Hendo winning it but not that way. Awful fight.

Look at that vid dude. He got two hits in the back of the head as he was trying to roll over and IMMEDIATELY recovered as the fight was stopped. Even Joe Rogan, a massive Herb Dean fan said it was a bad stoppage.

At the very least you let Fedor try to roll over and see how he responds. As I said before I thought Hendo was going to win and think Fedor is pretty much done, but that was a bad fight.

Watch that video and count the punches. 5. Fedor didn't defend a single one of them, or even raise his hands to. You have to intelligently defend yourself or you're knocked out.

orly?

From the last replay it did look like Fedor was out. Herb Dean has the best view. Congrats to @danhendo on a huge win!!

lol wtf? After a dude is knocked out and goes limp, you wait for him to roll over and see what's up?

Come on brah.

Fed or should of finished him when he had the chance, like someone else said Fed went flat. Oh well hopefully he retires. The most overrated fighter ever. I was surprised to see Scott Smith get so man handled.

Fedor shouldnt retire...he should drop to 205 though. He could cut 15-18lbs as he always weighs about 220-225 for fights and thats his walk around weight.

Werdum loss...he got caught in a deep triangle by the best heavyweight submission guy in the world

Bigfoot Silva loss....Silva had about an 80lb weight advantage in that fight.

Hendo loss....Fedor had Hendo on the retreat and went for the kill but credit to Hendo for the backside uppercut. Would have liked to see the fight go on another 30 secs ala Carwin/Lesnar fight but I can see why it was stopped.

It isnt like Fedor is getting KO'd, like Wanderlei is nowadays and should retire, he just needs to adapt to the game and drop down in weight.

    • Don't look now, but a 3-game win streak, including 2 on the road in back-to-back games. The Canes haven't won 3 straight since the middle of November, over 2 months ago.  Canes held Dallas to 23 SOG, with a lot of those coming in a late game flurry. Canes have had some difficulty keeping SOG down to where we're used to seeing them. The Dallas game was reminiscent of the defense we saw early in the season- standing teams up at the blue line and making zone entry a real pain in the pads.
    • Agreed with a lot of this. Couple thoughts, especially towards the OL/future cap things... First, I hope Bryce is good enough to command being paid a Top 5 QB salary. Great news for us if so. But as of now, I think he'd be in that mid-tier range, so that $60 gets cut to 30-40. Baker to Stafford range. Obviously the cap will go up and $60 might be the new mid-tier, but either way I think we're fine here. He either continues to ascend and gets paid Top 5 money because he's that good and thank God. Or, he shows he's Baker level, gets a competitive offer that's outside the Top 10, and we're "saving" money (but also paying someone who may not be the "guy" in that scenario).  The OL is the biggest thing going forward IMO. You're 100% right here about the need for an OL, paying them, % of the cap, etc. Which is why in the next couple of drafts, we HAVE to absolutely nail a couple OL picks. We can't realistically tie up that much money in our OL. So we better turn into the Cowboys the late 2010s and constantly have a revolving cycle of a couple highly paid pieces, with drafted guys who step up and take their place once we have to move on. One highly paid OT, one highly paid OG, and then find rookie deals or cheaper vets that fit well.  Point being, we're teetering on the edge of a few foundational pieces being here now. IF, and history isn't on our side here, we can nail the next couple of drafts...we're in a good spot when it comes to the cap and future. If we don't find a couple of defensive cornerstones and find reliable OL depth that can take over for Hunt/Moton/Lewis as they age or contracts balloon...that's when we're right back in hell IMO. No pressure, Dan.
