Do you get the feeling that something special is about to happen this season? The players seem to be projecting a lot of confidence for a team coming off a 2-win season. It is almost like they know something we don't. I think they are excited about Cam. I think they are excited about the support from JR. TD is back and Otah looks good. Heck, Duke Robinson looks to be in good shape. It is in the air. I expect 5-6 wins, but this could get fun. How good can we be with good QB play?

We all know what this team can do running the ball against a 7 man front with Otah back. Teams are going to put 8 men in the box, and force us to throw the ball. Last season, Gettis found himself running routes alone against a CB with no one else within 20 yards. That tells me some teams don't respect Gettis, and I think they're planning to single cover him again this season. If they do, then Cam has to throw to him. Clausen tried to, but man did he fvck it up sometimes. Go to 49 seconds of this video to see Clausen to Gettis:

Cam has to take advantage of recievers in single coverage, or find the open reciever. Clausen couldn't do that, and if Cam can't either then we'll be around 0-16.
