Don't trade for Asante, if we trade, let's get Leon Hall!

the Bengals wont trade Leon Hall, they want to sign him long term, that's why people are saying Samuel. the Eagles are listening to offers for Samuel, the Bengals dont want to lose Hall, they just lost Joesph, they want to keep Hall and likely will have him start on one side and have Adam Jones on the other.

I looked at this guy's stats, and Leon is a true cat! I'm wondering why the Bengals hadn't extended him after his 2009 campaign? Ultimately, does Leon want to be there? Will he ultimately end up going the same route as Joseph?

After looking at his stats and seeing he has played in every game since being drafted, I would have to concede the Bengals will not let him go. (at least not without a treasure trove of compensation.) The only thing is if we do trade, don't let it be for Asante. I rather give our treasure trove to the Bengals vs giving it to the Eagles for an aging corner.

I would give up a 1st or 2nd in 2013 as well as another pick in 2012. (and perhaps give them one of our young corners)

If we were to get him, I wouldn't suspect he would command any more than 6-7 million a year. I don't know if we have the cap space after all our recent signings, but once we give Kalil an extension, that may help in relieving the cap. Now I'm saying all of these things as an idea, that if we were to trade for anyone, it shouldn't be Asante. If we trade, let's go for a younger player with way more potential.

that's why you aren't a GM

this kind of thinking is what keeps teams at the bottom of the league IMO, we need to keep as many 1st rd picks as possible now that they don't cost us much.
