Reports already saying Asante Samuel available for trade, should we go get?

For some reason I kinda feel like we have a better chance of getting DRC from them than we do Asante.

DRC is young and talented. Would probably take a 1st round pick to get him, I could see asante being traded for a 2nd and 4th

I read somewhere earlier today that the eagles are actively looking for an MLB, and the panther's likely offered Dan Connor in the deal for Greg Olsen. Dan Connor and a 2nd for Asante Samuel and 3rd? Anyone?

i say yeah and see if they would accept a 4th round pick AND Dan Conner, the panthers signed Gaither today (from what i heard) and that gives us 5 good linebackers, we should look into trading for Samuel and see if they first accept Dan Conner (which i doubt)

to me it makes sense, but to them, they would want more which is why i dont see a deal happening.

They will want at least a 2nd, and or a pro bowl caliber player.

I don't know if anybody agrees, but I would rather them just re-sign Richard Marshall and go after Cullen Jenkins. That's assuming that Marshall would want to re-sign, of course. A good interior pass rusher would make the corners on the team look much better, IMO.
