Negotiations with McClain have not progressed well

August 8th is the deadline for him to get to camp or I do believe he will not recieve credit for the season. Which for a guy who apparently believes he is so valuable would suck since he would have to wait 5 years before he would be a vested vet.

i remember this one panther holdout people were also unhappy about because he believed he deserved more than he was offered:

mcclain isnt likely as talented as the above individual, nor am i compairing the two but its hard to fault someone for believing they are more valuable than you think until they prove you wrong.

The difference though, Beason was not on a rookie wage scale. While there is some discrepincies on top of the third round money, there is still a wage scale. Most likely he is holding out for the amount guaranteed, which is somewhat understandable. However, every day of missed TC is $30,0000, and after Aug. 8th, he will not accrue a year towards being vested. He needs to just get his ass in camp.

Terrell was the 65th pick - 1st in the 3rd round...as of tonight, picks 66,67,68, and 69 are now signed. Last night, only 67 was signed. While no terms were disclosed from any of those contracts, I'd expect Marty would have a way to find out. Slotting between the last pick of the 2nd and 2nd pick of 3rd shouldn't be rocket surgery for either party in this standoff. Gotta happen any time now...surely.
