Glad I got him to sign a jersey at training camp last year. One of the classiest Panthers ever. His leadership will be sorely missed.

I can think of no classier person associated with the Carolina Panthers for the last decade and a half, and I wish John Kasey nothing but the best. I would hope the rest of Panther Nation would join me in the same wish, and extend a thanks for a lot of great memories.

A great kicker, but he was so much more than that. He was the trusted conscience of the team. His contributions to the team off the field, behind the scenes are likely much bigger than will ever be known.

I believe he deserves to be in the ring of honor. His leg won games. His leadership got the team through difficult times. Guys like him do not come around very often.

Sad day, but knew it would be here someday soon. Wish he had retired instead of being cut.

Sad to see him go, but knew the end was near.

He was so instrumental to our super bowl run, however it is often overshadowed by the out of bounds kick off.

It will be different not seeing number four trot out there for the kick. I always felt good when Kasay was going out there (almost a lock under 50 yards it seemed). I really hope he plays a few more years and continues his climb up the all time charts.

In a league that often mocks kickers, Kasay was a leader on and off the field.

My son and I would always high five each other and say Mr. Automatic..........before he attempted a FG and rarely were we disappointed.

Sad to see him go.......................but it is time.
