@ Rayzor... This could be the reasoning... How did none of us see this coming with the Haynesworth deal?

Wow. Fat Albert and Wilfork in the middle... They still got Brace... Wow... Actually makes me think twice about his capability as a 4-3 DT if Belichick didn't think he would work there in it.

Still worth a look though.

yeah, those thigns cycle through pretty regularly. just like WCO used to be the fad, only a handful of teams want to bother with it.

i can see them (pats) wanting to move to a 4-3. they've been struggling with LBs and they want to make the most of fat albert who we all KNOW can't and won't play in a 3-4. scheme around the talent you have.

Exactly... And you can definitely see they were planning towards it - letting go Banta Cain, bringing in Al, etc.

I do think it would be smart for whoever signs Warren to do a thorough physical though... Coming off surgery, failed conditioning test, and the Pats history of letting players go at the right time scares me off a little...

The Pats cut him because he did not fit the 4-3 scheme they plan on utilizing this season.. so I highly doubt we are interested in his services. He is stictly a 3-4 DE, and has said he wants to goto Houston or Dallas whom both employ 3-4 defenses.
