Panthers Defense Needs An Answer...

I'm pretty sure Meeks has seen zone blocking schemes before. Just about every team in the league has some zone plays in their offense nowadays anyway, including the Panthers.

Yeah and we tried that zone blocking scheme once before, and it didn't work nearly as good as we thought it would. I don't see the OLineman that fit that scheme on your roster as of now.

ZBS isn't the cure all it used to be.

Most all teams use some form of ZBS during the season.

That said, it will work decently for Ward b/c he is a slasher kind of back imo.

I don't believe you are really that excited for Winslow, he hasn't proven much to me.

Losing the old weight was a good idea, dunno how Barber missed those cuts tho.

Me either....he will probably play nickel and Talib will start. Just guessing.

I’d be more worried about how all of these new players work in a new offense under a new head coach. As has been said, the Panthers and Meeks have seen zone blocking before. It’s going to take you guys a while to find your groove.

Agreed....I know it's not new to Meeks or your D, but it will be different lining up against us than what they have become used to.

Probably you're guys will be glad the shifting will be scaled back. Didn't fool anybody, but it was probably a pain to watch.

The NFC South will be an all out war this season. If the past seasons have taught us anythign it is this....you cannot discount any team coming into any season. The last place team has won the division darn near every year (except last year...and the Falcons came damn close to keeping that streak going).

With a Salary Cap and FA, any team can go worst to first....check out the Dolphins.

Every team in the NFC South is capable of winning the division next year. Makes for an exciting season.

....on how to stop this guy twice a year.

Seriously....215 yards on 15 attempts for a 14.3 yard average last meeting.

Meeks better come up with some answers before it happens again.

It's called make sure our starting Run Stuffing DT is playing in the game. In the case against the Giants, he wasn't..

Was he out most of the season?

Season rank/stats rush defense:

I hope he's in there when we play.....no excuses. ;)

Ward had a great game that night. He was shredding us, and we had no answer.

good sign for the bucs, him and E. Graham together should be a good 1-2 punch.

Some good 1-2 punches in the south....

Deangelo and Stewart

Turner and Norwood

Graham and Ward

and

well....

sorry saints fans

Hope he does well for you guys. Much as I dislike the rest of the NFC south...I constantly hope that they all represent the four of the best teams in the league. I mean, who wants easy wins?

In all honesty though, I have no idea how Meeks will respond to this guy especially since I still believe he was brought in more to work on the secondary than the line or the LB's. And I have no clue what direction Tampa is taking as a team yet and probably won't have an opinion on that until after the draft.

The guys got potential in the proper system. At this point though, I don't know if Tampa is that system.
