How competitive now?

8-8 would rock for me. That may affect Cam's momentum though. He is a winner and expects to have a winning season. The kid is already way ahead of many rookies with his drive, desire, work ethic, and mentality. He's a WINNER and I don't see him settling for mediocre seasons. He'll put in the extra work to learn and get better and I'm not concerned about Cam at all.

And all of this talk about a spead offense? Clausen came from a NFL pro-style offense and we see how that turned out. I just remember reading that Pickles was the most "NFL Ready" quarterback in years because of the schemes run at ND...then all of the sudden...BUST. But hey, he has "small hands" so what is he going to do?

I almost cried last season when we went 2-14. I patiently watched every game just hoping for a glimmer of light but it never came. I developed a strong discontent for Pickles.

Everyone at work would give me poo about it because I live in Cincinnati. But at least their Bengals were having issues as well and I could spit right back at them.

Is it me or do the Panthers have a tough schedule? We just get the number one draft pick but it seems our schedule is killer....

Its because were in a division where every other team was at 10 or more wins last season. Only reason.

While were facing off against teams 10 wins or better last year, everyone else in our division is playing a team that was 2-14 last season and only 2 teams with 10 or more wins last year.

Fortunately for Bungles fans they're going to get Andrew Luck.... after their 0-16 season.

it depends on how well newton does. he'll be starting soon this season, probably right away. it will be best for him and the team for that to be the case *as long as he has a firm grasp on the offense, doesn't stop learning, and the team is responding favorably to him* which i think is and will be the case.

if they are desperate to get into the playoffs...kind of a do or die situation, i could see us wanting to use a vet QB, but that just isn't the case. the team is young and has their sights on the long term, which makes it more important for the team to be working with cam in real game situations and for him to get used to them. they have to grow together and the best way to do that is in the game.

Anywhere from 4-12 to 9-7

Truth on the QB position...if Cam or Jimmy steps up and makes some plays with any degree of consistency, the team will win some games. I can't imagine the team being any worse than last year, so I'm calling a 6-10 season with some close losses.

I think we can beat the following teams:

Arizona, Jacksonville, Washington, Tampa (once), New Orleans (once), Tenn, Minnesota, and Detroit.

Now will we? That's a different story.

I don't like our chances against Indy, Houston, or Atlanta. Too much passing game for a secondary that I feel like is really weak. The only reason, I think we can take one from New Orleans is the fact that we should be able to run on them. Green Bay will likely beat us pretty good and I think Chicago will be a tough place to pull off a win for our young guys.

I think we'll win somewhere between 4-7 games.
