How competitive now?

Now that the draft is over, and FA was a big deal for us, what do you think will be our record this season? I'm going to say 7-9/8-8.

yep.....if Cam or Jimmy start there is just no telling what we will get at that position.

That is why I really want Bulger, Volek, or Anderson for this season.

With the additions on offense and the maturation of our WR's, I would feel a ton better having a vet and letting Cam learn.

With a vet, I think we compete this year.

Need to see what Cam can do before anybody can honestly answer this question.

We also need to keep in mind that on paper we have the toughest schedule in the NFL this season.

If we can go 7-9 I will be pleased, if we can go 9-7 I will be extremely pleased.

If cam can play like big ben did his rookie year and just ride there run game and D all year we will be good i think.

Is it me or do the Panthers have a tough schedule? We just get the number one draft pick but it seems our schedule is killer....

At worst we will do slightly better than last year. Cam will be more effective if he starts this year vs. Clausen last year, but I really don't think Clausen had a fair chance last year. Lame duck coaching staff, team with injuries, anemic offense(well I guess Clausen was a big part of that)

Well of course we are in the toughest division so that's 6 games.

The NFC South plays the NFC North which is a tough division.

We also get the AFC South, which isn't as bad as getting the East.

The the Cardinals and the Redskins are the two games based on standings which aren't tough games at all.

So when you look at it, it's a decent schedule, but could've been worst.

True, it's a tough division..but couldn't we play the cardinals the first three games while our QB's figure how to audible? but your right...cards, Jax, redskins and throw in a couple of upsets at home...maybe 8-8?
