if he becomes good hes trrade bait? where do you idiots get this idea?

if he gets good, CAM WILL BE TRADED.

lol, seriously......why entertain yourselfs w/ these crazy thoughts about Clausen. That is like thinking if Jeff King becomes Antonio Gates then we really made a big mistake letting him go.......

Clausen won't have a chance to even try to up his stock unless something horrific occurs here.

i just find it funny that these guys are like "if he gets good we can trade him" like what? you guys are retarded. If Jimmy becomes good cam will be the first one shipped out lmao.

These dudes think good QB's are easy to find and we can replace one with a unproven one just like that.

You guys make some nice points so far. Cam should start- He has more talent- He has had just as much time with the playbook, could know it better than JC, which is not a given- It is his team- We need to find out what we have-

Jimmy should start- Drive up his trade value if he were to actually succeed (To which I say, if God forbid, he does improve, we have a capable back-up until his contract comes up.)- Gives Cameron time to learn the speed of the game- Can save Cameron some bruises while the team comes together- Cameron should not start until he is ready-

Personally, I want the QB that gives us the best chance to win. Hopefully that will be Cameron. Because if Cameron cannot beat out JC or Pike, then just maybe he is not the savior we all hoped he would be.

Which is why this Preseason is going to be very interesting. I want to see how the staff handles different situations. Who plays with whom, and when are they playing. Are the ones playing as a unit, or are players rotating. And MOST importantly, are they using the Preseason as a teaching and evaluation tool? Not to mention that I am also interested in seeing what our Offense is going to look like!

Just my thoughts on this here subject. And and always, GOOOOO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Right now, there just isn't any talent on the roster to beat out Cam. So unless they sign a vet to come in Cam is going to be the starter. There is just no way around it.

Hope they sign a vet so they have an option if Cam needs a few weeks.

This said, Jimmy's only glimmer of hope is that he is up against a guy who is simply not a precision passer (please don't force me to youtube) and will very likely get banged up. If Andrew Luck had been drafted Jimmy's career in Carolina would be officially over.
