Jimmy Graham is the best TE in the league

I will fight anyone who says otherwise

Jimmy Graham probably isn't even the best TE on the Saints roster. The Saints will probably have "First 10 fans to the stadium get to play TE" giveaways every week.

lol bears lose their awesome tight end because their GM is a bag of rocks and then come on the message board telling us how much our team sucks

They lost there awesome Tight End and there best WR with one guy.

But at least they still have a CB playing WR, that should help.

Honestly you are retarded. Read the comments as if you are a fan of any other football team and tell me you wouldn't want to slap yourself right now for saying something so stupid....

Goodson and Stewart better than Forte? Wow. Williams maybe, but the others is a low blow.

Jonathan Stewart Career 583 carries 2,739 Rushing yards 22 TDS 4.7 YPC

As our Second RB!

Matt Forte 811 carries 3,236 Rushing yards 18 TDS 4.0 YPC

As a primary ball carrier

Don't forget they were drafted the same year!

Forte ranks fifth in the NFL in yards from scrimmage (4,731), behind Johnson, Minnesota's Adrian Peterson, Jacksonville's Maurice Jones-Drew and St. Louis' Steven Jackson.

Forte ranks fourth among all active running backs over the past three years in yards from scrimmage (5,025) behind Peterson (5,643), Johnson (5,606) and Baltimore's Ray Rice (5,038).

First player in Bears history to gain at least 1,400 yards from scrimmage in each of his first three seasons.

Of the 2008 draft class of running backs, only Johnson and Rice have more yards from scrimmage than Forte, and only Johnson has scored more touchdowns (38 to Forte's 25).

YEAH GOODSON AND STEWART AND ALL OF THE RBS ARE SO MUCH BETTER THAN FORTE. AGAIN YOU ARE RETARDS

who is the backup RB for the bears?

Honestly, I think that Stewart is a significantly stronger (literally and figuratively) and better runner than Forte---much better. The ONLY thing that keeps the two in the same conversation is playing time, first and foremost, and, secondly, Forte's ability to catch.

If I had to bet, I would say that Stewart will last longer than Forte, and ulitmately will have a more glorious career.

Only way Panthers would give up a third for him I'm sure....pretty standard procedure....

Was probably part of the deal, odds are we wouldn't have traded for him if he wouldn't sign an extension. The deal was probably worked out before the trade was finished.

This is the internet. I have to find something to be unhappy about. I understand that locking Olsen down was going to mean a contract extension. I've just been looking forward to Beason getting his payday for a while now, and seeing this just stirs the fandom centers of my brain. Dammit.

Forte starts and gets damn near every carry.

Stewart splits carries with another one of the best RB in the NFL and still puts up big numbers.

Stewart > Forte

Forte is good but he's really a push between either Stew or D-Wil alone, but together and with Goodson/Sutton the group of them just make our backfield better than yours. The reality is that you need more than one quality back in this league or you'll wear the treads off of your star runner far too quickly.

Forte plays in an offense geared around a running back catching the ball out of the backfield. John Fox's chosen OCs have never exactly been famous for that. Despite this, Stew is averaging only .2 yards less per reception than Forte, and D-Will is just under a yard less. Of course, if you look at their rushing statistics they blow the living poo out of Forte's on a per carry basis while splitting carries with each other and Goodson/Sutton, but again, totally different offenses.

Ultimately all three of those players are absolutely amazing backs, but the depth of the Panthers is what puts them ahead of the Bears when it comes to the RB position.

edit: for that matter we have the best RB corps in the NFL... there are better single backs but nobody has the depth we do imo.

Jeez, you are a whiny bitch troll. I bet Saltman's goats would kick your ass all over the bridge, even the little one. Shutup already, your on a Panthers forum and we are feeling good about our team right now. We don't need some pizza eating fat ass from Chicago telling us how awesome he thinks his team is. So shutup and go cook some fuging fish sticks in the microwave or make a mayo sadwich or whatever it is you do on a Thursday night.

Jimmy Graham is really good, no doubt, but sorry to say it, but guys like Gates, Gonzalez, Kellen Winslow Jr, Chris Cooley, Jason Witten, Vernon Davis in my book are all better than Graham. they have been in the league for years and all are just as much of nightmares to matchup with as Graham is.
