If its Connor it better be a low draft pick. Considering Bears were shopping Olsen, also wouldn't be surprised if Shockey is gone before game one

We need them both, to be honest. Shockey has been good for missing 3 or 4 games every season with various ailments and he's not getting any younger. Even in the passing juggernaut that was the Saints he has only picked up 450-500 yards in 3 seasons where Brees has picked up about 14,000 passing yards. He's not a primary threat good for 60+ receptions anymore, but he is still a strong option to have. I see no problem getting enough snaps for both players. The benefit here is having a fresh TE on the field at all times either in protection or in the pass catching game. There will be a steady rotation.

You guys will love Olsen, He is a solid TE and from all accounts i have heard of, a great guy in the locker room as well.

Anyway, was just checking out your forums to see what you all were saying and to find out who you might think be traded to the Bears. Us Bear fans our scratching our heads over this move. lol

If you guys are getting Connor, you are getting a star in the making. He may never be known as a GOAT but he is a lunchpail guy and when he hits people go down.

if there's one position where the panthers can afford to deal from strength, it's LB. if there's one position where the panthers needed a splash player where they didn't have one already, it's TE.
