Only thing im pissed about (yes beating a dead horse). ANDREW LUCK DIDNT DECLARE!!!! ahhh

Dont be pissed feel sorry for him. He either comes out this year and does great and get picked by the bungals and wastes away. Or he bombs this year and does not get any money cause his draft stock falls. Either way he is a dumbass.

Trey Wingo thinks so per Twitter:

I agree. I know it's been said before but JR had a plan 2 years ago with this team and we are now beginning to see the fruits of his labor.

It was hard shelling out hard earned money for an inferior product last year, but if things come together as JR and Co have planned then the next 5,6,7 years should more than make up for it.

I hope you guys are as excited as I am.

I'm sorry if this thread seems trite and unnecessary but i just had to express my enthusiasm.

Carry on!!

While I agree with this sentiment...

Jerry might have had a grand plan... but it did cost him some of the team's fanbase. There are a lot of people down on the Panthers cause of 2009 and 2010's lack of free agency moves and seeming low spend mark.

Hopefully some exciting play and some W's will get us back on track, and get the area behind the Panthers like it was 8 years ago.

I'm pretty sure JR knew what ^He was doing last year... Time to give the man his dues...

Last year sucked for sure. But it appears to have been necessary. There was a reason He was in the forefront of this whole labor deal

Wouldn't surprise me at all if He got with Hurney before hand to see how much Hurney would need to resign our guys.... And then I bet He suggested that # of 120 million

JR=Genius! He doesn't have the most expensive sports franchise in The World on accident!

BIGGEST losers= Falcons

All those draft picks they lost to Cleveland for Julio are bigger than ever considering how cheap rookies are now... Just saying...

We will win this Division this year... No doubt!

As pissed as everyone was him during last season, I think you have a point... JR knew that Fox was on his way out... he knew there would be a new CBA and probably had pretty good info on how it would play out, they've been talking about this rookie pay scale for a while. He dumped a lot of salary last year and with this new CBA, we have a lot more money to play with. Right now he looks like a genius... I hope it stays that way.

Honestly, for the most part, fans have a short memory. When things go bad they forget about the good. When things are going good, they tend to overlook the the bad times in the past. This will all pass with time and fans will be back.

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
