Suck for Luck

I could be wrong, but it almost seems to me like some teams are positioning themselves to be in a position to draft a top QB next year. Right now I see it as

#1 Washington Redskins - I mean Beck? Really? with all the other options available. I think they are hands down the favorites to be drafting #1 overall next year.

#2 Seattle - T. Jackson and whitehurst - Only thing working against them is they should get wins in that crappy division

#3 I think Cincy/49ers/Browns will round out the bottom 5.

....Ugh. Luck is going to be a bust. Mark my words.

I doubt that... saying Luck will bust would be like saying P. Manning was going to bust or Elway. The kid is that good.

I hope he doesn;t go to a franchise like Washington or Cincy that is poorly ran and luck into luck.

Let him go to Buffalo, they have sucked for so long, and has tried to be a winner. They have no luck over there.

I don't think Seattle, San Fran, or Washington would be bad places for Luck to end up. All of those places have decent pieces in place, and in Washington's defense, they have an owner who's willing to spend money to make the team better. It doesn't work most of the time, but he's willing *shrugs*.

With San Fran, he'd be able to reconnect with his old coach, and San Fran and Seattle are both in the West Coast. Now, it would suck if he ended up in Cincy or Cleveland. In fact; chances are high he ends up in one of these two.

Yea, washington is not a bad franchise... I think I've just lost some respect for their coaches. The shannahans are a mess.

I don't think Cleveland is a bad franchise, but I think Colt McCoy will be good enough this year that he will be safe as they will not be picking low enough to draft Luck.

Like I said if I could pick the most deserving franchise it will be Buffalo. They need some excitment.

Gonna laugh my ass off if we have teams tank to get Luck and then he decides to return for his redshirt senior year so that he can get a masters degree.

Like teams lol'd at us???

But from hearing him and his dad talk, I'm sure he is coming out next year, it was always a question this year.

It would be nice to see Buffalo get thrown a bone by getting Luck, but maaann, I've been to Buffalo...lol I dont think he'd want to end up in that crappy city. A far cry from sunny California.

Either way, I think he's the real deal, and any of those teams that happen to get him will be getting a good one.

Lol I've never been to Buffalo, and more than likely will never go unless I move to the east coast and the Panthers play a game against the Bills.

    • Yea I have it.  When it flares it can be very severe.  I had an extended hospitalization a couple years ago and it took a while to recover.  Can’t imagine trying to deal with that as a pro athlete.  It’s hard enough as a desk jockey.
    • I think the difference is that The Golden Calf of Bristol and Cam were just big personalities with big time talent (The Golden Calf of Bristol just lacked any consistency, leading to most of us hating him because it felt like he pulled big plays out of his ass). Sanders is a good talent who is completely full of himself and the ego feels unearned. You should WANT to change the bad culture of the losing franchise you expect to go to as a top pick...but that's a thing you keep to yourself or articulate well enough that it doesn't come off as "we're doing poo my way, if you don't like that, don't draft me".  You don't create an entire room touting yourself as legendary when you did absolutely nothing legendary at the collegiate level. Nobody is going to be fondly remembering Shadeur Sanders the college QB. Johnny Football is there, Cam is there, Vince Young is there, RGIII is there, The Golden Calf of Bristol is there.   Sanders needs humility and to pry himself away from his father. His father is going to tank his career before it is even started.    Sanders may bounce around the league as a backup for a few years, he'll play in select games and look like a backup but he'll have that one game where he pops off and that game will be used to say "see?! He's great!" and then he'll get the start and never live up to that game again.
    • This came up from out of nowhere and sent me down a hole of FNM.   Dudes were amazing and Angel Dust was just peak
