Looks like he will miss the first two weeks of training camp

Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy will miss at least the first two weeks of training camp after he was injured in a motorcycle crash last week in Tennessee.

He is lucky to only get skinned up. A crash on I40 could have been a lot worse.

Mostly because they are young and they don't think about the consequences of the things they do. I did a lot of stupid things when I was in my teens and twenties that I wouldn't even consider doing now.

so did I. the big thing with bikes though is that you can't account for other people's actions. The number of times I was nearly knocked off my bike by someone merging over is ridiculous.

the other thing is riding gear. I know he isn't the highest paid player but I know he could have at least afforded what is needed to not get skinned up. If he was riding down 40 in street clothes...well...there's something to be said for his intelligence.

I am just happy he didn't do something even more stupid, and I hope he doesn't slip because I think he'd continue to play well and disciplined under Rivera.

Hardy was stopped in Mecklenburg County in February and charged with driving without a license and registration, according to court records.

I'll give him that this happens a lot though. Its a big reason to not ride in the rain.
