John Kasay

I'm as shocked as anyone that he's been cut and hope this organization shows him absolute respect on his way out. I understand the decision and think we'll be better off for it in the long-run but it's going to be so weird seeing anyone other than Kasay kicking FG's for us.

IMO, he deserves a statue right alongside Sam Mills, not just for being the last original Panther, but for being a hell of a teammate for all these years and one hell of a man.

Ring of honor, retire his jersey, but no statue.

Frankly, to deserve a statue at this point, I think you should be be HOF, career with the team, and be exemplary in the locker room and in the community.

Kasey is pretty solid on the last two, but I don't see him in the hall of fame unless he kicks a few more years and breaks into the top 3 all time.

Still, hate to see him go. He was damn solid and a great addition to the team and community.

I think Kasay deserves a statue. Beason will when he retires.

I would also say Smith but the off the field stuff and fighting really gets in the way of that. But he is first true elite star of the franchise.

we carried 3 kickers the last 3 seasons of the Fox era....Kasay leaving shouldn't be a big shock. Baker is good and younger.....therefore Kasay should be the odd man out.

Kasay is one of my favorite Panthers of alltime at this point.....but suggesting he deserves a statue just shows how green this franchise as. You don't give a K statue unless he did something that seperates himself from every K that has every played the game and no other one would every possibly reach.

True. Kasay was a big factor in the play not to lose gameplans of Fox. Stay in a game just to the point Kasay could decide the outcome.
