when his contract's up (if he continues to be a back-up), he'd more than likely still receive the best offer from the Panthers

James Anderson is worth more than Connor at this point and I doubt he'd pull a 3rd rounder.. I could see a 4th or 5th..

Connor won't come close to that.. he hasn't started for any decent period of time and has been rather injury prone..

After we see the numbers on Anderson's contract, he may not even be worth a draft pick at all.

anyone forgetting what it was like to have dan morgan getting hurt all the time?

we haven't had a problem with beason....yet. we have had problems with all our other LBs, tho. it's going to happen sometime...or at least that is what the thinking has to be behind keeping him. hope for the best, plan for the worst.

connor can do a good job at MLB. we need to make sure that is secure if beason goes down.

Connor is exactly the type of player that you build teams off of. He has come in and played well when asked for not a lot of money. If he walks in FA next year, so what, just draft another linebacker to back up Beason.

Need to hang on to Connor, he's cheap and we need to wait and see how TD's knee holds up, may have to move Beason to WLB and have Connor play the middle.
