Yea I have been trying to find first issues of his Jersey on sale--don't want to wait until next year to buy it. But I'm afraid if I buy #1 as soon as Clausen is sent packing Newton is wearing #2.....

I thought about this issue as well, and I have yet to buy one. I may wait on the Nike version that will be out in 2012 anyways. But If you have the money to blow why not just go ahead and get one. If Cam's good wouldn't it be cool 15 years from now to have his #1 rookie Reebok Jersey? It will be a cool throwback one day if Cam has a solid rookie year and turns into a good player for us!

As much as I want to berate you endlessly for trolling, this does give me the perfect oppurtunity to ask the Huddle if anybody knows when they will startselling Premiere Cam jerseys.

They're much nicer than the replicas, and only about $30 more..but I haven't been able to find one.

Anybody know why they aren't selling them yet?

I bet the #2 is further from his mind than ever before. Everyone who went out and bought those new #1 jerseys might be able to hang onto them next year, players are superstitious. This is really working out perfect. Agree?

Well if anyone can make wearing #1 an "in demand" number for QBs at all levels around the country, it'll be Cam. I thought that Clausen might give up his #2 jersey but he didn't. I don't think Cam cares all that much about jersey numbers and stats anyway. Cam stays focused on THE GOAL .... WINNING GAMES. That's how it should be.

Still, it would have been nice if he could have gotten the #2 jersey that made him famous in college football. Since Warren Moon wore #1 for the Oilers and helped Cam in the offseason, Cam might stick with #1 for his career. Who knows.
