Cromartie on trading block?

How dare a team want to trade their cornerback after one bad year!

I wonder if his lack of production just might have resulted from the decreased pass rush they saw from losing Merriman?

Nah, an ineffective defensive line could never make a cornerback look that bad. Cromartie must be washed up.

Except we kinda had a decent pash rush. Maybe Lucas JUST SUCKS.

I'll take this with a grain of salt, considering you think C.J. Wilson is the future.

I don't know that I'd say we have a decent pass rush at all. We have a decent pass rusher in one Julius Peppers, but when he is double-teamed who on the line can step up and take advantage of that?

Were you claiming Lucas "JUST SUCKS" before last season, when many thought him to be our best corner?

I'm sure Cromartie will be better than last season, but honestly he was overrated before that. Yes, he's an incredible athlete who can make incredible plays, but he was never that great a cover corner to begin with. Pass.

There may be something more to the hip situation.

With Cro, Rivers, Jackson, McNeill, and Merriman all up for extensions, I think the FO believes that they're all not going to happen. I think the Asomugha deal has put the idea in that Cro will be the odd man out and the Cason drafting was also done with the possibility of him being gone.

If it happens, it's a roll of the dice.

What's with the AFC West trading some of their best players?

Pretty soon we're going to hear Asomugha on the block, and Kansas City, well, uh, they don't really have any elite players so it'll be silent on their end.

isn't gonzo up in the air? granted he's old, but he's the only decent player they have

Dwayne Bowe is a stud. Their LT Bradon Albert is on his way to being a top shelf player. Who knows about Matt Cassel. Other than that, meh.

His rookie contract has two years left on it. It was a 5 year/12.5 million deal but somewhat backloaded. Is he worth 3.5-4 million a year for the final two years of the deal?

Assuming he passes a physical I think 90% of the league would be very interested in him.
