Kasay is NOT retiring, has NOT been cut

True that! As much as I hate to see the guy go he is old and doesn't have much to offer as he once did. I think picking up Mare is a good addition for the future and he is probably the best kicker on the FA market. He is a accurate kicker but by looking at his stats he doesn't seem to have that much range.

He had a bad year with the Saints but by looking at the stats it was because he went 1 for 5 with field goals over 50 yards. This guy can't make field goals over 50 yards it seems, which could hurt us. Why not keep Kasay around for the 50+ yard field goals? We know he can still make them.

If you're upset Kasay was cut because you think he still has it, that's one thing.

But if you're upset he got cut because he's the last original Panther, put your head in the oven immediately.

I heard on WFNZ that Baker was asked to do kickoffs a couple years ago. Apparently he can punt and do kickoffs but just refused to do both....and we just accepted that.
