The harsh reality of the NFL biz...you know it'll likely happen, but it's still sad nonetheless...even sadder if/when he's in another uniform.

And what's with those who always bring up that out-of-bounds kick in the super-bowl? Bottom line Kasay is one of the best kickers ever in the NFL! I'll remember him as the guy nailing those 50+ yarders when most every other team would keep their PK on the sidelines and bring in the punter.

Kasay deserves a statue....make it happen JR!

The Panthers made contact with K John Kasay to tell them of their plans to add a kicker before they actually did it. Class move.

fuging bullshit Kasay has earned his keep here. I think he overrules Hurney. I know Kasay has still got the leg for this game. The new kick off rule only helped him. But why not get a punter who can do kickoffs?

Kasay's leg strength on kickoff was a big factor on why the didn't re-sign him. They want to only carry 2 kickers (a punter and kicker).
