Do not compare Mare to Kasay clutch-wise. Kasay only has one major field goal choke ever and that was in '08 vs. the Giants. He's been one of the most clutch kickers late in games in league history and is coming off one of his best seasons ever statistically speaking.

The new kickoff rules take away most of the value of having good kick off guys. That was Mare's main value. With rushed free agency like this, we could expect some big mistakes. This could be one of them...

The Kasay/89 link point is a great one. This time next week, the longest tenured player on the Panthers could very well be Jordan Gross.
