kasay's been here for 15 years hasn't he? it is about time to start trying to upgrade. you can only be loyal for so long. if he really wants to keep going, maybe he will go back to seattle where mare just was(and he used to play before us).

the amount of truth in this post is unbearable.
i know that's what you really feel.

seriously, we have been using 2 roster spots to do what 1 kicker should be able to do for years.

THAT is the fail. it's about time we corrected that.

the dude is just as reliable as kasay.

time to move on and get over it. like it or not kasay is gone.

we have a new panther kicker now. sad for those wanting kasay to play forever and ever amen, but this is a step in making the team better.

The new kickoff rules take away most of the value of having good kick off guys. That was Mare's main value. With rushed free agency like this, we could expect some big mistakes. This could be one of them...

At worst you need a guy who can generate touchback's and Mare can get that done + be an accurate FG kicker.

It hurts to say this, but... UPGRADE.

Thanks for all but 1 of the memories Kasay.

I like it b/c we can get Llyod out of here! BUT I found this and was like eek!

"There's no excuses for those," Mora told reporters, via the Tacoma News Tribune. "If you're a kicker in the National Football League you should make those kicks – bottom line. End of story. Period. No excuses. No wind, doesn't matter. You've gotta makes those kicks."

Mare missed a 43-yard attempt in the closing seconds of the first half and a 34-yard attempt with 8:13 left in the third quarter.

Mora said Mare's misses were "absolutely not acceptable" and did not rule out considering bringing in someone to challenge for Mare's job.

"We're not going to fight our ass off, and have a field goal kicker go out there and miss two field goals and lose a game," he said. "It's not going to happen."

I know this was a few years back but it was a Hmmmm.... Moment. I still like this pick-up!
