Has Hurney gone fugging nuts????

This is what happens when JR opens his wallet, Hurney offers HUGE contracts. Are we even sure if we can extend Beason and Kalil?

To pay a guy who isn't even a leader is dumb. Beason far deserves that money than CJ does.

:mad2:

Chris Gamble signed to a 6-year 50 million dollar deal, and what do we get out of him AFTER IT? NOTHING.

Jake Delhomme signed to a 5-year 42 million dollar deal. And after that he does horribly and we're forced to let him go.

Damn you HURNEY.

Carolina overpays. Have for a while. Okay for CJ.....but that is why I don't want them to sign Williams.

Talented, Young DE...as long as we tie up Beason then I don't care what happens. I'd like to keep Williams if we can but IMO he's not as critical as these two defensive positions. Its not a bad deal by Hurney. Its what happens when you have a guy who is young and has posted big numbers in his first year as a full time starter. He ends up getting paid...And we couldn't afford to lose him.

We aren't gonna be able to go after anyone after we re-sign Thomas Davis, Anderson and possibly Deangelo which is just dumb.

I have been telling folks for months that once we sign our core group of guys we will not have a ton of money for other free agents but will be able to land a few. Glad to see it finally dawned on you as well. This is not news or anything that isn't expected.

Why the hell else would CJ stay in Carolina if not money? Hell why would any star? You sound delusional about your team. This is the price of last year. We aren't a winning team or even an average team. We are a small market team. Luckily set up so we are worth more money and money is what we have. We already have a leader on defense, there isn't room for two and Beason will not leave this team I'd bet money.

Get over it. Yes it is alot. Had to do it, too many reasons not too. If anything Dwill is the one not to lock up.

Do anybody have a estimate on how much room we got left to sign Deangelo Willams and a couple of other guys.

We have plenty of cap room this year, that is not really an issue. For example we will pay CJ roughly 32 million in salary counting the signing bonus and his salary in 2011 but he only counts 6 or 7 million against the cap.
