To pay a guy who isn't even a leader is dumb. Beason far deserves that money than CJ does.

There you go comparing apples and oranges again. LB's do not make DE money. In 2 or 3 years top DE's will exceed this per year. CJ played behind Peppers and Brayton until last year - thats when he showed how good he was. Not his fault Fox was to hard-headed to start him.

Hey, if JR called you up and said okay start signing our draft picks, undrafted free agents, our free agents, other free agents, look into trades aka see what you can get for smitty; all on the same day, you'd be fugging nuts also.

What is wrong with you guys? Everyone on here was freaking out, and crying that we were gonna lose him to Atlanta. We just stole a YOUNG, UP AND COMING DE from the #1 team in our division. His HOMETOWN, and you guys are complaining we paid too much for him? All he's done is produce since he's been drafted. Just because his name isnt as big a Julius Peppers or D. Will you all think we overpaid. No way. We have loads of cap space and we made it a priority to sign him and D. Will, and after seeing how aggressive they went after CJ, I have no doubt they will do the same for DeAngelo and our other FAs. Just calm down. Its clear this team wants to win, and you gotta spend money to win sometimes. Trust me, if we lost him, you would all be upset. Then when you saw what he signed to Atlanta for, you would all wonder why we didn't offer up. We did. We got him. Now on to DeAngelo. This is great for our franchise. We are showing the rest of the league that we mean business. NFLN is now reporting the CJ news, so now everyone knows Carolina isn't trying to hold a top 10 draft pick next year. Take it, Atlanta!
