Atlanta back out they was scare of paying to much. They gonna see me twice a year! Bet that.

It sound like we could have had him if we matched that offer... I like Johnson ... No doubt but i knew our GM would not over spend for him (12+ mil a season)

Just think, if you had matched we could be saying you overpaid, and you could have been happy.

actually... I would have been pissed but since we feel like we are a pass rusher away... i would learn to accept it.. I would have easily been happy giving him 8-9 mil a year (and i felt that was alot) .... But 12.5+ mil for a guy that had 1 awesome year.... Just couldnt see our GM doing that... Could Johnson ball out (10+ sacks a season) and earn that contract... yea.. the guy can.. But right now... it was just one year..

Its hard for me to say because he is a Panther but i like Charles Johnson... Not enough to make him one of the highest paid DE's tho (after 1 great year)
