As an App State Alum, I am hoping Armanti does something. I even bought an Armanti jersey at Fan Fest last year and only wore it to one game.

Don't feel bad, Armanti didn't wear his that often either.

Armanti might have been on the field for a total of 10 minute (real time, not game time) all of last year. Jimmy started 10 games. Just a small difference in the two situations.

Amazing how he was able to stink in such a short period of time.

He will need to step it up this year or risk getting cut. Part of his appeal last year was his role in a "wild-cat" formation. That need drops dramatically if Cam Newton is on the field. That means he will need to make his way as a receiver and returner only.

Edwards said he is in much better "WR" shape this year. That is fine, good to hear. But I agree, special teams is his greatest option to stay on the roster.

Plus, we got the WR from Auburn coming in, plus Pilares, plus the others; wright, guy, clowney, lafell, gettis, etc...

This will be an excellent training camp for WR's. We have tons of them that are going to be competing, and with preseason coming up so quickly, there won't be much time to prepare. So these guys are going to have to come out work their asses off, retain the knowledge, and be ready to try and prove that they can stay on the team.

In other words, this year there isn't room for slacking off, at all. I like this, because when all is said and done we will at least have guys at WR that have shown that they are willing to put everything they have into it.

And I am really hoping Adams, as a UDFA, fugging breaks out like a beast. That would be awesome. Give Cam some familiarity, and help him out.

Why don't you tell us how you really feel.

I'm guessing you never saw him play or you would know that he is fast and quick. As far as sure handed, he was a freaking QB. He didn't need to be sure handed. He had never even thought about returning punts until Fox put him there in mini's. That is not a skill you can't pick up learning it in the NFL. It needs to be taught starting in high school or earlier. As far as the pick, he shouldn't have been picked where he was using a trade but that was not his fault so I'm not going to spew hate because of that. :nonod:

Now for the real post. For the love of God please cut him. Even if he becomes the second coming he will never get a fair shot with the hater fans here. He will be picked up by another team and will get playing time. If you are a fan of his then you should be happy that he is playing, no matter where it is. If you are like many posters on here and hate him then you should be thrilled to have him gone.

Don't think for a second that he doesn't know what is said about him on these boards and by the fans. I watched him from the sidelines for 4 years and he is a great kid both on and off the field. He tried so hard last year, at times too hard, and made mistakes. He knows that and wants to make up for it but also wants to be at a place where he is wanted. The easiest way to kill a person's self confidence is to cut him to pieces all the time with hate. No player in last years draft had to make a bigger position change than he did and with the great coaching he had it's no wonder he had a difficult time. I knew this was going to happen as soon as the Panthers drafted him. The Panthers are my team but I will support AE no matter if he stays or goes because of the person he is.
