I haven't complained about any of our other deals - Payne and CJ... I expect money to be spent, and I'm happy we are spending it, especially after last year.

That being said, again, my gripe when I initially saw the Edwards signing was that I thought we were gonna go with a bigger name and figured they would command a deal like this before Edwards. Not that it is a big monetary investment... I think he's really worth it. Just thought we were going elsewhere.

Seems to me that we have a very deliberate plan on FAs outside of our own.

You're not the only one. I was making a broad statement. Between yesterday after Johnson was signed and so many people questioned the contract, I figured I'd throw some common sense in there b/c people get so worked out and forget the basics. HIGHER SALARY CAP = HIGHER SALARIES

Man if we get Joseph... I don't know what I'll do...

I will probably tell all my buddies to go FUG themselves and the Panthers are SuperBowl bound!

So tired of their poo... All they do is say we have no chance to do anything this year with a rookie QB and a 2-14 team...

Acquiring Joseph would be HUGE!!!!! That will severely hinder these NFC South QB's from tearing us up...

I for one am Actually praying for this to happen.

Actually a lower salary cap even if you include the 3 million exception. Last capped season in the NFL the salary cap was 128 million, then last season was uncapped. Just teams actually have to spend cash now, that's the only reason these deals are going to be higher then they would have under the old CBA.

ya NJ just do what you do and dont get so worked up. People are going to keep messing with you if you take it so personal.
i've said pretty much the same thing to him before and suggested that he even block his trolls just so he doesn't get in those pissing matches if he doesn't want them going on. only thing you can gather is that he likes getting into those little piss fights with them.

they can always be avoided if you want to. doesn't imply weakness, it implies you've got something better to do with your time/energy.

NJ, I was wondering why you hadn't heard anything about Edwards being a possibility being that we had to be looking for a DT if Cofield was signed last night?

I wasn't told Edwards name, but I was told it wasn't going to be a big name like Mebane or Franklin. I was told it was going to be a run stuffer and a name that will not excite you. I posted on twitter we were going to sign a DT but it was not going to be a big name. Cofield was the only "name" they were looking at.

I REFUSE to play with anybody other than Carolina... So I'm good either way

When they knocked down Jake to like 83 THP and ACC in the 70s his last year, then our QBs last year consistently dropping in ratings... Man, I would use different teams depending on the matchups.

But honestly, as long as they didn't shut down my Power O and HB Toss, I could still win 99% of the time with us, lol. There was a just a lot less room for mistakes.
