I am getting the sense that it will be reported later tonight that one of Johnson or D-Will will be staying. Stay tuned.

The sense I am getting from the guy I speak to one of D-Will or CJ could make a committment as soon as tonight to the Panthers.

I tweeted that hours ago and looks like it came true. Just something to maybe get some credit from certain people, but was told this is no way effects their attempt to sign DeAgnelo Williams. They are still going to offer him a big contract.

I'm in the ambivalent crowd with guys like Mad Hatter. Don't really know if his source is legit or not, but none of what he's reporting sounds all that farfetched. Thus, I'm willing to accept it as valid and interesting discussion until I see reason not to (and I've said as much to him).

Scot, I'll admit his "updates" (:p) provide some pretty fun threads, and until now most of us on here have been bored senseless, but this guy in a matter of a month went from some random dude who knew a guy that works for the panthers to a know all adam shefter.

Not to mention the reputation this guy had on here a couple months ago.

I am curious now. You said that the Panthers would definitely sign another safety, but we apparently aren't going after Weddle and Mikell is headed to the Rams. I thought those were the two we were looking at. Who else is there?

The rep thing honestly doesn't faze me much. i don't pay that much attention to it.

It's interesting reading, and not especially farfetched. Could be valid. If it isn't, he'll slip up at some point.

For right now, I just say take it for what it's worth. Don't underestimate or overestimate. Just read and comment as you would on any other thread. the "behind the scenes" truth or fiction aspect of it will play itself out over time.

We signed Payne to be a Marcus Hudson type role player, but we will bring someone else in. Mikell got a big payday to reunite with a coach in St. Louis and a guarantee starting job. I always thought Weddle was a long shot, so we will see. I was told we will get another safety.

I gotcha, the "rep" thing I was talking about him just coming on here and trolling, and pushing people's buttons for attention. I've read a couple of his tweets towards Tom Sorenson and sorenson called BS on him and he got mighty offensive, lol.

Like I said, he is just some attention craved scrub who is an excellent google user, but his threads are pretty entertaining.

Oh I know. I posted on my twitter about an hour ago that I am coming home from work and it was an hour commute. I read about it on the boards. I was just posting how I said this morning that Johnson or D-Will was signing tonight. That the Panthers were going to have a commitment from one of them tonight.

Actually I made a comment about how no one on the observer has written anything at all during the lockout and their two stories came from newspapers based in LA and NY. All I said was instead of fighting with fans go write an article. The life of a writer who could not make it in a big market. I feel like may fans would agree with this.
