DeAngelo Free Agency Thread

Bah, DWill is staying here. He is much better than Bradshaw and he would be looked at to do most of the work. DWill has said he likes the tandem with JStew because they compliment eachother so well. I don't see bradshaw as a good compliment to DWill.

And, eff the broncos. DWill has played under fox, I think he wants something new, a new system, a new coaching staff, not the same old Fox football. And the Panthers are on the up and up.

Although, if DWill really wanted a ring, like NOW, I would say head to the Giants. But he still has 2-4 years left, and the Panthers are looking like a contender in that time frame.

Bradshaw is FA. I think Williams is a plan B meaning if they Giants don't retain Bradshaw they would want Williams. DeAngelo should probably take that gig.

lol I would rather have dwill sit out 5 games and not cost us a loss like goodson has done in 2-3 games last year by fumbling it when we were in scoring range.

Goodson was a main reason we were even in some of those games to have a chacne at winning. Considering there was no pasisng game, he was a one man show at times.

It ain't like Clausen was getting it down and Goodson came in and screwed it all up.

True, but blocking goes hand it hand being a receving threat out of the backfield......a lot of times your role on plays is dictated. You either stay in to block or roll out into the flat. He has to be able to block.

Oh, I definitely agree. But I do think its something he can learn. The big criticism of Williams in his first couple of years was poor blocking, and he got better at it.

Fwiw, I think that for some backs, the fumbling thing becomes more difficult to correct. After a while, it can become mental.

it doesnt matter how he got us close but when you get us close then basically cost us the game in the end it doesnt matter.

it shows he has the talent to be a legit RB in the NFL if he can work on correctable issues.

Also, the passing game was hisortically bad......could also easily be a case of one man trying to do too much. He was the offense in several of those games so it could of been a case of feeling he had to try to do more than possible leading to some of those fumbles.

Yes, but you can't list him in the same breath as someone who has proven they are legit and a baller when his biggest weaknesses could keep him off the field.

1st and 2nd down: Can't put him in because he fumbles too damn much

3rd down: Can't put him in because he can't block for the QB

Don't worry about losing a stud when you have a guy who makes you cringe every time he's on the field.

Throw it deep to that receiver missing both of his arms...fug Steve Smith we got "Legs" to play receiver

 *must...not...give... pie.... aw poo*
