Heap's still a pretty good player, and if he went to the right team, would probably be in the top 6 TEs in the league. He may ask for a decent contract with the next team. Does Carolina have that much room to wiggle in, bringing in two decent TEs?

Ultimately, Shockey is a decent TE. Yet I just hate too think we could have gotten Heap instead. Getting Shockey was a panic move by JR.:D Patience always win in the end.
