Clausen is maybe the worst QB to ever start an extended period of time in NFL history....I thought this was common knowledge?

.....he's Randy Fasani bad.

people can't grasp they witnessed something that historic....

Clausen did put the team on his back in numerous games. The fact that he could't throw six touchdowns to win is not a negTive on him.

You judge how well he played in those games against tough competition not wether his team won or lost them.

Your asking for such a small sample. Clausen one of the very few exceptions of a Qb who despite his team record was viewed good enough

be drafted highly.

If you did watch him why did you Argue ad nauseum that he played in this dink and dunk offense and west coast for his college career. I'm still waiting for that link where Weiss admits it's west coast.

No he didn't, Clausen only beat inferior competition at every level he has played on. The fact Clausen NEVER won one of those games....is something to judge.

If Carolina hadn't of picked him.....Clausen would have fallen farther.

Not far enough where he wouldn't have been given a chance to start. And why is that? Because teams didn't hold wins as the biggest point.

If the guy plays very well against a tough competition but doesn't end up winning to little fault of his own, you judge him positively.

And again, if you watched him plenty why did you think he ran a dink and dunk west coast offense?

Not going to say Jimmy is good....but we do not know. 90% of last year's team was better than what happened.

Hope he is very good and Cam is great. Jimmy would make good trade value. In everyone's best interest to pull for Jimmy....he needs to give Cam a run for his money too.....

b/c there was a HEAVY emphasis on screens, dinking and dunking and getting the ball out quickly to his first read.......again, in a video that was on Panther.com after he was being questioned on his crap mechanics he acknowledged Weis didn't see a need to correct it b/c he was basically going to be asked to do things that would make it a non issue.

yes, he did go downfield......and in college he could get away with bailing on plays (make his OL look worse than it was) and doing his slow painful scramble to the left.....and it often resulted in big plays downfield against crap competition.

and yes, if a guy plays tough against tough competition that is a good thing.....if a QB never wins legit games....not a single one on the resume....then that is a very bad thing.
