Carolina Panther Free Agent Signings.

What I got from it is its a 6 yr deal worth 72 million. Will make 46 million his first 3 years and 26 million the last 3 years. Front loaded contract and very relieving to see him agree to this deal. 11.5 sacks last season and will only get better.

Now re-sign DWill, Kalil and Thomas Davis, and then restructure/extend Beason and Im a happy camper.

Don't really know the right place for this, but here's a link to an Article just posted on NFL.com about Cam re-affirming wanting Smitty to stay:

"Steve, he's extremely credible around the NFL," Newton said in an exclusive interview with NFL.com and NFL Network. "Everybody knows about Steve Smith's situation. I'm going on to say I really want, not just me, but so many people around the organization want Steve back. I don't know how else to put it. I'm about to speak foreign languages to get Steve back.

"After talking to him, working out with him, he's just at crossroads right now. I'll respect him, whatever decision he makes. Hopefully that decision is to stay in Carolina."

I add extend Kalil too, but I agree- we also need to pursue coefield and a corner
