Switching to Verizon

So I may be switching from ATT to Verizon, and I wanted to know what the best phone on the market is for them.

So far I'm interested in the Droid 3 and Droid Incredible 2.

I'd rather have a phone with a full physical keyboard, but it doesn't have to be. I'd like to know what to expect with battery life and speed of phones if anyone has any input.

Also the change wouldn't be happening until August so if any phones are releasing then I'd like to know.

Droid Charge, nothing less... if you can't wait.

Galaxy S II (Verizon will call it the Function) if you can wait a month..

my opinion, wait a month.. best phone on the market, bar none. iPhone5 won't be able to touch it.

this makes me exited I am due for a new contract

I have been with verizon for almost 10 years and I would never go anywhere else. I'm not going to lie and say they are a good value, they are more expensive in just about every way. It is more along the lines of 'you get what you pay for' type thing. I was able to talk on my phone 90% through a 3 mile hike in hte back country of the great smokies. Had two other phones, att and sprint, neither came through for more than a second here and there. Clearest reception matters most to me and I found that pretty impressive for a shitty phone and cheap plan like mine.

I have had Verizon for several years, and while I have had big issues with their billing once or twice and considered switching, I have to say they are the best network as far as coverage goes. I have rarely been anywhere that I did not have a signal, even out in the boonies. I got a Droid Incredible awhile back and I really like it. Didn't know the Incredible 2 was coming out, or the Thunderbolt. I might have waited. I had also considered the Samsung Fascinate. There have been several new models to come out lately, as has been mentioned. Don't really know what the best is right now. Battery life is not so good with smartphones. I had to get an extended battery, but I still have to charge it everyday. The original battery lasted almost a day, and I tried to limit my e-mail, text, and internet usage.

I'm done over paying for "the largest network in the world." The signal is still pretty choppy for me (using a Droid 2 in Dallas) and I use it calling only people within TX. The local company, Metro PCS, costs half the price (maybe even cheaper) for the plan I have w/ Verizon and have heard the signal is very clear. I guess I don't use it enough nor use it contacting long distances to make it worth it.

I'll be done with them once my contract is up.

On my trip to GA, we were sitting at my wife's family reunion on Saturday... we were north of Columbus GA out in the countryside...

Two of my wife's cousins were talking about their phones... one of them says... "yeah, this building has a tin roof, so my signal is crap, I've only got one bar... but AT&T's signal usually is pretty bad anyway..."

I looked at my Droid and I had 3G/four bars...
